Up until now, Adele has been super coy about whether or not she’d tour behind her record-breaking new album, 25. But now, the world can let out a collective sigh of relief because the singer just announced she IS in fact touring in 2016 — but there’s a catch.
In a video posted to her Facebook page on Thursday (Nov. 26), Adele admits she was totally “bluffing,” and “of course” she’s going on tour… in Europe, at least.
She adorably opens the vid with the line, “Hello, it’s me,” and then immediately bursts out laughing. “I can’t even say that anymore,” she says, referencing the opening lines of her mega-hit “Hello.”
Once she battles and F-bombs her way through the script (outtakes galore!), she gives her best Harry Potter/weatherman impersonation by pointing to the European cities she’ll tour through on a map behind her. The 36-date run will kick off in Belfast on Feb. 29 and travel through major cities like Dublin, London, Amsterdam and Paris, before wrapping in Belgium on June 13.
This will mark Adele’s first tour since 2011. Earlier this month, she told Rolling Stone she was planning to decide by Christmas whether or not she’d hit the road in support of 25.
“When I’ve sat down and thought, ‘What can I do to bring something new to the table?’ It was just like, ‘Tour.’ Because I haven’t done it properly,” she told the mag.
But don’t worry, U.S. fans: We’re sure a North American tour isn’t far behind — and at the very least, we’ll have plenty of bootleg concert clips to cozy up with.
