Wale Oladipo said he never collected money from Dasuki

– Professor Wale Oladipo has denied media report that he admitted receiving money fromSambo Dasuki, the former national security adviser – He said the report as published was meant to tarnish his image – The PDP scribe said he has never had any financial dealings with the office of the national security adviser Professor Wale Oladipo, the national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has denied being involved in the arms deal scandal.

In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Monday, April 18, Oladipo said he never collected money from the former national security adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki, (rtd.) during last year’s general elections, This Day reports. According to him, the news making the rounds that he admitted receiving money from Dasuki is false as he never had any financial dealings with the office of the NSA. 

 “Before and after the election, I had no financial dealings with the Office of the National Security Adviser or any other government official,” Oladipo said. The PDP scribe noted that the few monetary transactions he handled for the party were within the ambit of his official duties as the national secretary.

 “The report is clearly politically motivated. I affirm that all my actions and communications are motivated by highest ideals of patriotism, transparency and commitment to national reformation.” Oladipo was reported to have approached the Federal High Court in Abuja to restrain the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission and other related offences Commission, the inspector general of police and the Department of State Services from arresting him.
